Event Services Available from Circuit Rider Books...
...a group of committed and well-trained volunteers committed to bringing the best in mainline protestant reading to Oregon, Idaho, and Washington. Since 1982, we have served local church, denominational, and ecumenical events both large and small, and provided our constituents with special order service from "The Stable," our headquarters, via phone, fax, e-mail, and our website. We will gladly provide references upon request.

- This service provides a box of books (one copy of each title) on a specific topic or by a particular author of your choice, ready for you to pick up or shipped to your site in time for your event. All books will be priced, and order forms for your participants' use will be supplied. Pre-event publicity materials can be provided upon request (please allow 6 weeks lead time for publicity materials).

Our Saddlebag service provides one or more boxes of books on a specific topic, your event theme, or by a particular author of your choice, ready for you to pick up or shipped to your site in time for your event. All books will be priced, and self-service sales instructions and forms will be provided. If a title sells out, or someone wants to order some item not supplied, your participants may use the order forms we include in our self-service checkout box to request a special order. Pre-event publicity materials can be provided upon request (please allow 6 weeks lead time for publicity materials).

One or more of our qualified volunteer staff will arrive at your location 2-6 hours before your event (or the day before, for an event beginning in the morning) to set up 2-10 tables of books. Our staff will act as sales clerks, maintain stock, and answer questions during your event. We keep our services open from the beginning of registration time until approximately one hour after your event closes. At longer events, we are open daily from 1/2 way through the breakfast period until 1/2 hour after the evening program begins. If the book area can safely be left open, event participants are welcome to browse at any time, and they may set books aside for later purchase using our infamous 'sticky note system.' If requested, we are able to host a book-signing party for keynote speakers (and other authors present at the event) whose book titles have been given to us beforehand. We spend 2-6 hours after the event returning the area used to the condition in which it was found. Pre-event publicity materials can be provided upon request (please allow 6 weeks lead time for publicity materials).
We schedule our services for events well in advance.
We ask a minimum notice of six weeks for a Book Display or Saddlebag.
Book Table Services should be scheduled with us as soon as you set your dates.
For any service, it is always best to call us as soon as you begin your planning, even if dates are not firm.
